Project #3: Setting Demonstration: Setting Map

Eurasia is made up of the entire northern part of Europe and Asia, meaning most of Russia and Europe. Oceania is made up of the entire Americas, the United Kingdom, Southern Africa, Australia and it’s surrounding islands. Eastasia is smaller of the other two world powers, having only China, the countries south of it, Japanese islands, and most of Manchuria.
The three super-countries were formed as following: Russia absorbed Europe, the United States had the Americas, the British Empire, southern Africa, and Australasia. The remaining country, Eastasia, only formed after another decade of confused fighting.
“None of the three superstates could be definitely conquered even by the other two in combinations. They are too evenly matched, and their natural defenses are too formidable. ... In any case, each of the three superstates is so vast that it can obtain almost all of the materials that it needs within its own boundaries.” (excerpt from George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four, 1949)
